I am currently DMing a 1e/2e D&D campaign set in al Qadim. We play at my house and the experience of the players varies. The group has been playing for 20 odd years! I also play CoC and Serenity with a small group in the Ashfield area.

Because we need more variety of salt, sugar and e number vessels of consumption. We had 3 packs of s&v pringles this week. Surely new players will be more imaginative.....

"This group usually meets on a Thursday, but it is cancelled this week due to my work commitments. I'll be there because it's my house...."
"This week this session is not running. Ham"
"Thanks Brevitt, will consider this. Will chat to rest of the group."
"Hi chaps and chapesses, We gained John through this group some little time ago and he has been an excellent addition to our group. We are now looking for another player to join our happy throng. ... MoreWe play 1st/2nd edition AD&D in the Bramcote area of Nottingham - very close to J25 of the M1. The campaign is al-Qadim (Arabian flavour campaign) and has been running for several years now, with a fair bit still to go. You would be joining an established group that has been playing constantly for the last 20 odd years. We have our house rules etc, but welcome new ideas. We are yet to have a player who has left after a few weeks saying 'this is not for me' - hopefully that is a sign that we are very welcoming. The game does move slowly, it's taken 3-4 years to get the characters to 10th level, so don't expect a fast moving game and it isn't suitable for those used to rapid advancement. We do think that the campaign provides plenty of excitement, but it's also a social get together. We are looking for a player of any experience to play on Thursday nights usually. We would like a player who expects to be able to attend the group for the foreseeable future (ie if you're moving in 6 months no thanks!) and can make sessions on a fairly regular basis. More than one player can be accomodated. Looking forward to meeting new player(s) Ham "
